im not going any further dude i said what i thought you should do but if you want to pull the spring out every week to reposition the tube then go for it but i found a way easier solution to stop the noise of it.

ya your right you can do what you want..but the tech i talked to has had people come in with there forks completely screwed up inside because of putting shrink wrap or inner tubes around the spring, i mean do you really wana take the chance of messing up a $1500 fork when there is more reasonable way to do it? your choice, i made mine thinking i dont want to take that chance

i just used marine waterproof stuff cuz its all i had, doesnt affect it haah

seriously i tried an old xc tube over it, it still rubs inside the fork and limits your travel, i talked to a certified fox tech and he said the only reason fox puts shrink wrap over the tubes is that they are quiet when the consumer gets it, otherwise you should take it off because it can ruin the internals of the fork
